Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday said that lack of dreams and direction among school children is the biggest challenge for the future of the country.

He said that the Kejriwal government always focuses on the overall development of its students.

Sisodia was addressing the ‘Mentor Conclave of the Country’ organized by the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights to celebrate the journey of mentors and mentees registered under the program from across the country.

He stressed the need for timely career guidance for the students. Lack of dreams and direction among school children is the biggest challenge for the future of the country. Mentors have worked towards guiding the future of hundreds of children studying in Delhi government schools under Delhi Government’s flagship initiative ‘Desh Ke Mentor’.

On the occasion, Sisodia felicitated the mentors under the program in their efforts to guide school students of the Delhi government, who often do not get timely support from their surroundings in making informed career choices.

He also participated in a panel discussion with mentors from various professional backgrounds.

“For education ministers across the country, most of the goals include recruiting teachers on time, providing mid-day meals and books to all students, and ensuring funds to run universities optimally,” Sisodia said.

But, under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi government always focuses on the overall development of its students.
