Model and actor Kushal Tandon’s restaurant in Mumbai, Arbor 28, was badly damaged after heavy rains on Thursday 22 July. The actor revealed in an interview that the estimated cost of the damage is around Rs 25 lakh. He also shared a picture of the damaged part in his Instagram stories. Kushal mentioned with the photo how the business was already affected coronavirus And the devastation caused by the rain has added to the trouble. The actor confirmed that fortunately no one was injured in the incident.

Talking to Times of India, Kushal told how the restaurant was built with a lot of love and hard work. Since he wanted everything to be classy and of high quality, he made sure that experts were involved in making it. He went to the extent of collaborating with the people of France for a particular textile material. The actor revealed that the restaurant is built in an area of ​​6000 sq ft, so the repair work will not be easy, but he will definitely get it done as soon as possible.

Elaborating on the damage, Kushal said that it was not heavy rain but extra strong wind that caused havoc in his restaurant. Confirming his point, he said that there was more rain last year and a year before that but there was no damage at that time.

When asked how he got the picture of the damaged portion of Arbor 28, Kushal said the security guard had sent him to show the extent of the damage to the property. The actor also spoke about how his restaurant was flourishing during the pre-Covid times. Explaining the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on his business, he said that the restaurant is currently closed as restaurants in Mumbai are allowed to remain open till 4 pm and most of their customers used to come in the evening.

The restaurant was closed twice since the lockdown due to the pandemic situation in the city.
