In an indirect dig at the Congress leader, KTR said that leaders who are ‘unemployed’ are ‘instigating the youth of Telangana’. KTR alleged that the Congress exploited the youth and the unemployment issue “only for its politics”.

He said, “If the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had announced an employment policy and acted like the BRS, there would have been no unemployment crisis in the country.” The BRS leader said, “The Telangana government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao provided employment to 2.2 lakh youth in the government and 22 lakh youth in the private sector.”

KTR suggested Priyanka to learn from Telangana’s inclusive and holistic development activities and policies and implement them in Congress-ruled states. Stepping up his attacks, he demanded an apology from Priyanka Gandhi on behalf of the Congress party for allegedly “taking lives of hundreds of Telangana youth by delaying the formation of the state for their political gains during the separate Telangana movement”. The minister also highlighted “failures” during Congress rule on basic necessities such as drinking and irrigation water, electricity and support for agriculture, and said development in Telangana has been “quite the opposite” of Congress-ruled states.
