Kriti Sanon, in her recent interview, talked about the prejudices against the film industry and said that she was told that actresses do not have the right to marry anyone.
Kriti Sanon is one of the most loved stars in showbiz currently. The actress has a huge fan following on social media, and her modus operandi has been quite impressive. the actress who made it Bollywood Debuting with Sabbir Khan’s Heropanti in 2014, has proved his mettle as an actor and has been a part of various films like Mimi, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, and more recently Bhediya Aur Shehzada. In a recent interview, the actress revealed that people have a negative perception about showbiz. He talked about the prejudices he had to face while entering the film industry.
The actress was asked if she was ever told that the industry was not for her. She told Pinkvilla, “Beshak bola hai (I have been told). Not just because of where I come from. I don’t think this was always the case. But this world perception itself was very different. As an aside, there wasn’t much of a positive impression. Like it is glamorous, there is no good world, there are no good people, there is no marriage after becoming an actor. Me, not with so many nice people. Some people think that you cannot get married after becoming an actor).
“Some of my friends in my age group also said ‘You know if you don’t marry, nobody wants to marry an actress.’ This conversation was going on. It wasn’t something I took seriously, I laughed it off. In fact, there was a part of me that was a bit shocked that people like my generation could talk like this,” Kriti said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kriti Sanon recently shared screen space with actor Kartik Aaryan in Shehzada. Helmed by David Dhawan, the film was released on 17 February and also featured Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy and Manisha Koirala in pivotal roles. She will next be seen in Om Raut’s directorial venture Adipurush alongside Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. The film is currently in its post-production phase and is slated to release on June 16, 2023.
