JAIPUR: The state on Wednesday recorded 23 new cases of omicron type coronavirus, taking its tally to 69.
According to the health department, four of them have a history of foreign travel while three had come in contact with foreign travelers. Two of these had come in contact with people from other states.
The maximum number of new omicron cases, 10 have been reported from Ajmer, nine from Jaipur, two from Bhilwara and one each from Alwar and Jodhpur districts.
A health department official said that out of the 46 omicron cases reported earlier, 44 have been cured so far.
“The Chief Medical Health Officers of the districts where cases of omicron have been found have been directed to trace them and get them admitted to dedicated omicron wards,” an official said.
