The West Central Railway administration has allowed travel using MST and QST for five pairs of trains in Kota division from August 9.
Kota Railway Division has announced to resume the sale of Monthly and Quarterly Season Tickets (MST and QST) from next week. This announcement has come as a big relief to thousands of daily commuters traveling in trains for short distances. For the past few weeks, daily commuters have been demanding the resumption of sale of MST and QST, as buying tickets on a daily basis was becoming a hectic task and at the same time costing their pockets.
Kota Railway Division Administration had stopped the sale of MST and QST for daily commuters due to COVID-19 restrictions. Ajay Pal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Kota Railway Division, told the media that the West Central Railway Administration has allowed travel using MST and QST for five pairs of trains in Kota Division from August 9.
“Now passengers can get their MST and QST from the ticket counters of railway stations from Monday. All ticket booking offices have been directed to issue MST and QST.

1. Train number 05838/05837 Kota-Jhalawar-Kota special train
2. Train number 05840/05839 Kota-Jhalawar-Kota special train
3. Train No. 05832/05831 Kota-Vadodara-Kota Special Train
4. Train No. 05833/05834 Kota-Mandsaur-Kota Special Train
5. Train No. 09742/09741 Bayana-Jaipur-Bayan Special Train
Indian Railways had stopped local and express trains in March last year following the nationwide lockdown following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the reduction of Covid-19 cases, Indian Railways has started special trains connecting important cities across the country. However, trains running on daily schedule have not been restored yet.
