Kolkata rape and murder case accused Sanjay Roy who is lodged at Presidency Correctional Home has reportedly expressed his anger over the meal served in prison. Not happy over the simple “roti-sabzi” meal served to him, Roy had demanded that he should be allowed to eat egg chowmein.

However, according to jail rules, all inmates have to eat the same food prepared for every other prisoner. Thus, Roy’s demand for egg-chowmein could not be met.

Sources from Presidency prison said that when he was served roti and vegetables he was angry with the meal. However, after being reprimanded by the jail staff, he finally agreed to eat.

Earlier, when Roy was brought to Presidency Correctional Home from CBI custody, he requested the jail staff that he be allowed to get some sleep. He was also found to be mumbling at times. However, after a few days, he has returned to his normal self.
