KKR’s ‘masterstroke’ tweet upsets MS Dhoni fans; Ravindra Jadeja’s reply goes viral

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the legendary wicket-keeper batsman and former captain of the Indian cricket team, may have retired from international cricket, but his fan base continues to grow. On Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) tried to troll Dhoni by posting an old photo of Dhoni on Twitter.

Many fans of Dhoni gave their reaction to the tweet of the franchise. Not only this, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also replied to the tweet and his reply went viral. Some users also linked Gautam Gambhir to this.

On Sunday, KKR posted an old picture which was taken when Dhoni was leading Rising Pune Supergiants in the Indian Premier League. Pune team is no longer a part of IPL.

When Chennai Super Kings were suspended from the league for two years, the Pune franchise entered the competition and Dhoni was made its captain.

KKR shared two pictures. The first picture is from the fourth Ashes test match, while the second one is from an old IPL match. The fourth Test match in the series between Australia and England ended in a draw in Sydney.

On the fifth day of the match, Australia kept all their fielders in close range to dismiss England’s last two batsmen in the second innings.

However, the match ended in a draw as the day’s play ended. There is also a photo of Dhoni when he was captaining Pune and KKR’s fielders were kept close to him during his batting.

Dhoni’s fans got annoyed with the comparison and started commenting on the post. Jadeja caught everyone’s attention with his comment on this post.

Gautam Gambhir was captaining KKR during the match and kept all his fielders close to Dhoni.

Piyush Chawla was bowling for KKR at the time as Dhoni was struggling with leg spin.

KKR wrote, “A moment that reminds you of the masterstroke of T20 cricket, which is not a classic of Test cricket. It was not a masterstroke, just a show off.”

A netizen replied by posting a picture of Dhoni holding the trophy. Similarly, another user shared an old photo of Dhoni, in which he is seen hitting a big shot against KKR. Another user also posted a picture of Gambhir with a score of ‘0’.

Chennai Super Kings have won the IPL trophy four times under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and are the second most successful team in the league. Only Mumbai Indians have won the title five times in this regard.
