The Kannada film industry embraces the trend of re-releasing films, especially their classics, every now and then. The Hindi and Tamil film industries also follow the same. Two superhit movies of Sandalwood’s big stars are reportedly ready to re-release on the big screens. Both the movies had made records in their own way. These movies had given a next level recognition and changed the life of the actors who were a part of these iconic classics. Do you know which films we are talking about? Prem-directorial Jogi and N Om Prakash Rao’s Huccha are reportedly coming to theatres again.

Jogi broke several box office records at the time of its release in 2005. The film stands unshakeable even today. Jogi was remade in Tamil as Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram, starring Dhanush and Meera Jasmine, and in Telugu it was made as Yogi, starring Prabhas and Nayanthara.

Jogi, released on August 19, 2005, starred Arundhati Nag and Shiva Rajkumar. Their performances were loved by people. Jennifer Kotwal’s pairing up with Shivanna can be seen in the movie. Gurukiran sangeet’s songs were also super hits.

The 2001 film Huchcha is a remake of the 1999 Tamil film Sethu. Huchcha won the hearts of many people. Kiccha Sudeep and through this movie Sudeep has made a permanent place in the minds of Kannadigas. Huccha was an unexpected movie in Sudeep’s career, though he was not the first choice to play the role of the character in this movie. Nevertheless, 23 years have passed since this movie was released.

Om Prakash Rao has also released the second part of Huccha 2 an Indian Kannada-language film which is the remake of the film Raam 2005, starring Krishna, Malvika Avinash, Shravya and P Sai Kumar.

Huchcha is going to re-release very soon. It has already been upgraded to DTS 5.1 sound. A five-minute special video has also been added in the movie. Kiccha Sudeep interacted with special guests in this video.
