Under the Khelo India Games 2021, Maharashtra has captured 9 medals including 4 gold in various competitions held at the All Weather Swimming Pool at War Heroes Memorial Stadium Ambala Cantt on the fourth day. This includes 2 silver and 3 bronze. Apart from this, Haryana, Telangana and Bengal have also secured 1-1 gold. At the same time, Maharashtra has got 2 Silver and 1 Bronze, Assam has 1 Silver and 2 Bronze, Gujarat has 1 Silver, Tamil Nadu 1 Bronze, Punjab has 1 Silver Medal. The players who reached Ambala are showing their skills by performing brilliantly in swimming. Around 580 players from across the country are participating in the swimming competition which will run till June 12.
On this occasion, Ambala Divisional Commissioner Renu S Phulia, Swimming Association’s District President Rajindra Vij, Olympic Association Joint Secretary Anil Khatri, Nagardhish Mukund, DSO Ram Niwas, former Deputy Sports Director Arun Kant Sharma honored the winning players by wearing medals.

Harshika Ramachandra of Karnataka took the gold with a timing of 2:07.84.
Anya Vala of Maharashtra took silver with a timing of 2:09.79.
Assam’s Astha Choudhary grabbed the bronze medal with a timing of 2:11.05.
Under-17 Man 200m Freestyle
Anish Gowda of Karnataka took the gold with a timing of 1:53.17.
Devansh Parmar of Gujarat took the silver with a timing of 1:54.70.
Karnataka Sambhav R took the bronze medal with a timing of 1:55.02.
