Khattar: Who is on duty? CM walks to MCG office. Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattri Visited mcg Expressed displeasure over the absence of any officer in the office at Sector 39 and in the control room at around 9.15 pm on Saturday night, where mechanical sweeping machines have been kept and their movement is monitored.
Khattar first inquired about the procedure followed by the MCG to ensure monitoring of these mechanical sweepers, who sweep the city streets at night, and then asked the officials about the number of machines deployed each night.
The Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC) was also accompanying the CM. Vijaypal Yadav and other Sanitation Department officials. Since no one was present in the control room when Khattar arrived, he inquired about the person who should have been on duty at that time.
Yadav said that if I do not know, then the CM called the MCG commissioner. Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, Sources said that a call was made to the computer operator monitoring the movement of machines in the city, but his phone was switched off.
Khattar then asked the Senior Sanitation Inspector Rishi Malik Regarding submission of attendance register. Malik told them that he maintained the attendance register of only those officers who were on field duty.
The CM was informed that the MCG has deployed 13 sweeping machines, covering 13 different routes between 10 pm and 5 am. Since Khattar had arrived early and the machines were to start functioning at 10 pm, many operators were yet to come, he was told. Khattar then sought to know how sweeping machines equipped with GPS devices work and are monitored.
“The broom machines start at 10 pm and I had reached a little early. So, I asked the MCG officials to present me with the records of all the 13 routes covered by these vehicles at night. I will check the cleaning done by these vehicles at night and if any disturbance is found, I will take action.
Sources said that after the CM’s departure, Yadav and Malik along with the computer operator went to the PWD rest house, where the CM is staying on Saturday and showed him the complete record of sweeping the night. After doing a surprise visit to the MCG office, the Chief Minister also went to the GMDA office.
There the CM inspected the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) and asked the workers how they traced the stolen vehicles. The workers informed him that they monitored the CCTV footage and alerted the patrolling teams. “I was told that 32 stolen vehicles were traced on Saturday. I have suggested that the facial recognition feature should be included to keep an eye on the suspects.
