Kharagpur: Openly debated on the usefulness and ill-effects of media in the modern era – Rail Hunt

Kharagpur. A debate competition was organized on 29 June along with the meeting of the Departmental Official Language Implementation Committee in the auditorium of the Multidisciplinary Training Institute, Mechanical, Kharagpur. The program was presided over by the director of the institute, Yeh Ujjwal Haldar. Deputy Principal Sanjay Kumar Anand was also present with him. Lecturers and trainees of the institute participated in this competition. The topics of the debate competition were the relevant topics of the present:-

1. Use and side effects of media in the modern age,
2. Use of technology in the development of Indian languages
3. Mobile phone addiction,
4. Sports & PUBG

The usefulness and ill-effects of media in the modern era, on which the speakers gave their views on this topic, were Shahid Akhtar, Vijay Kumar Saw, Arun Kumar Mishra, Rajiv Ranjan Tripathi from the lecturer class, Saurabh Tiwari, Rajesh Roshan were among the trainees. Arpita De from the Accounts Department gave her views on sports and PUBG in this competition. Shankar Kumar and Abhijit Ghosh gave their views on the topic of mobile phone addiction. The remaining speakers gave their views on the usefulness and ill-effects of media. Saurabh Tiwari, Arijit Gaush and Arpita De were rewarded in the program.
Books will also be provided to the remaining participants.

From drafting the program to organizing it, the work of coordinating and contacting all the participants and administrators was done by the librarian of the institute, Ranjan Kumar. Official Language Secretary (Diesel) and Office Superintendent (Diesel) Manish Chandra Jha Office and Junior Translator (Rajbhasha) Vedprakash Mishra were in the jury of this competition. Earlier, during the meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee, there was a discussion on the Official Language Policy and the Inspection Questionnaire of the Parliamentary Committee was also discussed. In the end, Vice Principal Sanjay Kumar Anand distributed the prizes to the employees. Ranjan Kumar thanked everyone and expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Institute and Department of Official Language for making this program a success.
