The members of Kharagpur’s social organization ‘Swayam Sewa Dal’ have announced to take up the task of acquainting the helpless orphans and poor children wandering here and there in the railway station premises with the light of education. It was started in Bogda on Sunday morning under the education campaign. According to the office bearers of the party, for the last 7 years, a small Gurukul campaign is going on in the settlements of Kharagpur, whether it is the distribution of educational materials or the matter of giving them rites, the self-service team is conducting these activities with great enthusiasm.

12 Small Gurukul centers have opened in Kharagpur and the 13th branch was inaugurated on Sunday. Today, in Bogda, located near Kharagpur railway station, where helpless poor children were seen begging, a program was started to give them the rites of education. Abhimanyu Gupta said among the office bearers of the team, “People often used to come to the station premises to distribute blankets and sometimes food items, but no one ever thought of giving education to these destitute children.” So we decided to take this initiative. Education material was distributed among a total of 34 children and it was announced to run a primary education campaign every week. Jaspal Singh, Shubham Bose, Ashok Singh, Rahul Rai, Lalit Gupta and Sanjeev Gupta were among those present on the occasion.
