The sequel to the 2018 blockbuster ‘KGF (Kolar God Fields)’ will arrive on April 14. As the film hits the theaters across the country in two weeks, the star cast of KGF: Chapter 2 which includes Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi and the makers. Ritesh Sidhwani recently took part in a media interaction in New Delhi. During this lead actor Yash aka ‘Rocky’ spoke about how the reins of pan-India films are breaking the glass ceiling and becoming a cause to unite people across the country.

Yash said, “I think people have moved on. It is high time that we have to understand that this is an industry and stop categorizing it into categories.” “A lot has changed after that. Had it not changed, people would not have accepted it (pan-India movies with star casts from different film industries) in such a big way,” he said in reference to the latest magnum opus release . The 36-year-old actor further added, “If I make a film in Karnataka today, or I come to Bombay and make a film for every part of this country, if I make a film in Bombay, it may just be a ‘Hindi’. The film will not happen. It will be an Indian film, so it is high time that we move on from this concept.’

Meanwhile, releasing in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, KGF: Chapter 2 is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner. The multilingual action drama also stars Prakash Raj and Rao Ramesh in pivotal roles. The music of the film is given by Ravi Basrur.
