Amid a series of strange incidents on the Delhi Metro, a man allegedly misbehaved with a female co-passenger and exposed his genitals in a moving bus in Kerala’s Ernakulam district on Wednesday.
The crime took place when the woman was on her way to Kochi from nearby Thrissur.
He said that the accused, who came and sat near him, initially spoke in a polite manner. The woman alleged that after some time, he allegedly started touching her inappropriately and exposed his genitals by unzipping his pants.
Holding his mobile phone in one hand, with the option of live recording, he asked the accused man, later identified as Syed KK, what was wrong with him.
“In the initial part of the video, it was evident that the zip of his pant was open. When I raised my voice and questioned his behaviour, he got up from his seat. When the conductor questioned him as well, he tried to run away. tried.” ,” she explained in a social media video.
She also told the bus conductor that she had a complaint against the man and wanted to hand him over to the police.
The conductor and driver cooperated fully in catching the accused.
She said that while most of the co-passengers reacted coldly when she raised her concern, the conductor and driver did all they could to nab the accused.
The Nedumbassery police registered a case against the accused under various sections of the IPC and produced him before a local court which later remanded him to police custody.
Although the accused, who was not ready to confess to the crime, tried to escape by getting down from the bus, the conductor and driver caught him and handed him over to the police.
The woman also said that after seeing her social media posts about the incident, at least five women texted her saying they had had a similar experience with the same man on a moving bus.
