Every year more than 4 lakh students appear for the Kerala SSLC Board Exam. Last year when most of the boards did not conduct the exam, Kerala Board conducted the exam offline. Despite the disruption, 99.47 per cent students who appeared for the exam have cleared it. This was an increase from 2020 when 98.8 per cent students passed the exam.

A total of 1,21,318 students scored A+ in all subjects in 2021. This is an increase from 2020 when 41,906 students got A+ in all subjects. It remains to be seen whether Kerala can break the previous year’s record or not.

Qualifying the SSLC exam, students are required to score at least 33 percent marks in each exam as well as in the aggregate. To get A+ rank, students have to score 90+ marks.
