Kerala Covid cases: Kerala records 28,561 recoveries; TPR 16.71% | Thiruvananthapuram News – Times of India

Thiruvananthapuram: The state has recorded 28,561 recoveries and 19,688 positive cases out of 1,17,823 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 16.71%. Meanwhile, the state reported 135 COVID-19 cases, taking the respective death toll in the state to 21,631. Of the new cases, 18,602 cases have been infected by local transmission. The contact source of infection could not be traced for 894.
Thrissur reported the highest number of 3,120 cases, followed by Kozhikode (2,205), Ernakulam (2,029). Malappuram (1,695), Kollam (1,624), Palakkad (1,569), Thiruvananthapuram (1,483), Alappuzha (1,444), Kannur (1,262), Kottayam (1,020), Wayanad (694), Idukki (506), Kasaragod (367) and Pathanamthitta (670).
So far 39,66,557 people have been cured of coronavirus infection in the state, while 2,38,782 patients are still undergoing treatment.
There are currently 6,20,739 persons under observation in various districts of the state, of whom 5,87,582 are at their homes or institutional quarantine centres, and 33,157 are in isolation in hospitals.
