The purpose of making an appearance on the Met Gala carpet is to grab the attention of the cameras by posing mostly in over-the-top, often ridiculous theatrical costumes. However, the food served at the festival looks nothing short of impressive. American actress and singer Keke Palmer has shared a picture of a Met Gala grub on her social media profile. The food looks so cheesy and delicious that his followers are asking him to ask for his money back.
Keke Palmer, the first attendee to host Vogue’s red carpet live stream in the evening, wore a dark brown body-hugging dress to the event. A day earlier, she shared a picture of her Met Gala meal, which consisted of a modest fare of some tomatoes, leafy vegetables, corn and tomatoes. Some porridge was scattered about the grain, which gave the image a muddy and unattractive quality. Sharing the picture on his Twitter account, Palmer wrote, “That’s why they don’t show you the whole food.. I’m just playing.” The picture was captioned, ‘The Menu Chili’.
Fans reacted to the tweet, comparing the food to the infamous cheese sandwich served at the 2021 Fyre Festival, a failed and much-maligned concert. One user wrote, ‘Isn’t it at least a cheese sandwich at the Fair Festival? Others compared it to various organs and diseases of the human body.
Another person commented, “It’s um bronchitis.”
“They served you the lungs of someone who would have smoked 40 times in one day,” was another hilarious response.
The jibs didn’t stop here. One user posted a picture of his dog eating, “Why is my dog feasting when you all look like scraps of food”, followed by a crying emoji.
