Kejriwal, Mann Lead AAP’s Campaign in Karnataka

Ahead of the Karnataka Assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann visited the poll-bound state, where they addressed Aam Aadmi Party workers in Davangere district.

In his speech, Kejriwal launched a scathing attack against BJP leaders visiting Karnataka, accusing them of promising a corruption-free state, while his party’s ministers were themselves corrupt.

“A few days ago Amit Shah was here with his big words that help us form the government and we will get rid of corruption, someone should remind him that it is his government in power,” he said.

“For the last five years your party was in power, what were you doing then? Eight crores were recovered from a BJP minister, but Manish Sisodia was arrested.

Mann, on the other hand, highlighted the work done by his party and talked about the issues being faced by the people including withdrawal of NPS, regularization of work of pourakarmikas.

“Three farm laws were passed in the Karnataka Assembly, farmers here are committing suicide. The old pension scheme was brought back in Punjab, we will bring it back in Karnataka as well. Thousands of contract workers are waiting for regularization of work, we have already done that in Punjab.”

“If you want a clean Karnataka and a corruption-free Karnataka, then you should come to power,” he said. AAP has come out of the anti-corruption movement and has zero tolerance towards corruption,” Mann said.

Both also discussed a strategy on the lines of Delhi and Punjab for positive prospects for the party in the upcoming elections.

During their visit, both the leaders administered oath to newly elected circle, booth level and block level party office bearers of the party in the state.

The AAP duo landed in Hubli and traveled to Davanagere district where the conference and public meeting was held.
