Kejriwal will meet KCR in Hyderabad on Saturday and seek Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s support to oppose the Centre’s ordinance on deregulation of services in the national capital. Kejriwal, who is also the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, has been reaching out to leaders of non-BJP parties to garner support against the ordinance, so that the Centre’s attempt to replace the bill when it is brought in will fail. Parliament.

Kejriwal tweeted, “Meeting the Chief Minister of Telangana tomorrow in Hyderabad to seek support against the unconstitutional and undemocratic ordinance passed by the BJP government against the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court.”

Earlier this week, he met West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and NCP chief Sharad Pawar to seek their support in the matter.

Kejriwal also sought an appointment with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi to seek their support in the matter.

The Center had on May 19 promulgated an ordinance to set up an authority for transfer and posting of Group-A officers in Delhi, which the AAP government termed as a travesty of the Supreme Court verdict on deregulation of services.

The ordinance came a week after the Supreme Court handed over control of services in Delhi, except police, public order and land, to the elected government. It seeks to set up a National Capital Civil Services Authority for transfer and disciplinary proceedings against Group-A officers of DANICS cadre.

Prior to the apex court’s May 11 verdict, transfers and postings of all officers of the Delhi government were under the executive control of the lieutenant governor.
