New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Said on Monday that the situation created due to heavy rains in the state Himachal Pradesh Close monitoring is being done with the central authorities working in coordination with state government.
Flash floods triggered by heavy rains washed away buildings and cars at tourist places in Himachal Pradesh, while the airport in Dharamsala was closed due to bad weather.
The flash floods also damaged a bridge on the Mandi-Pathankot highway, following which traffic was halted on both sides, leading to traffic jams.
“The situation in Himachal Pradesh is being closely monitored due to heavy rains. The authorities are working with the state government. All possible assistance is being provided. I pray for the safety of the people in the affected areas.” Modi tweeted.
