Kda Demolishes Guest House Illegally Raised By Land Shark | Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: Kanpur Development Authority (KDA), in a major secret action taken against encroachment, demolished the guest house raised by land shark Vinod Prajapati here on Wednesday.
Divyanshi Guest House was raised on 2000 square metre land consisting of two plots No. 744 and 744-A in W-Block Juhi scheme situated on National Highway No. 27.
According to PRO Shashi Bhushan Rai, the land shark had illegally taken possession of the plot which belonged to KDA and raised a guest house.
KDA had written letters to the police to lodge an FIR against the illegal possession and take action. Besides the building being sealed, the land shark even then had occupied it illegally defying all restrictions.
On the directives of KDA vice-chairman Arvind Singh, a team has been busy in a secret mission for the last three months. And on Wednesday, around 8.30 am, it executed the secret mission’s surgical strike. The entire operation was completed in three hours and the entire structure was demolished.
The enforcement wing pressed as many as 5 bulldozers of JCB company and demolished the structure. As per market value, the cost of the two plots is around Rs. 40 crore.
As per the instructions of the vice-chairman, both the plots would be brought under e-auction. The KDA will take similar action against other land sharks who are occupying KDA land, the PRO said.
