Kanpur: KCA XI sailed into the final of Justice Jagdish Bhalla memorial All India cricket tournament when they defeated Lucknow XI by 4 wickets in the semi-final held at the Indra stadium in Orai on Tuesday.
Lucknow, batting first, scored 7 for 217 in 30 overs Rituraj was their main scorer who contributed 69 runs. KCA XI in reply scored the required 218 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 28.5 overs and won the match.
Mishra Cricket: PAC outplayed Kanpur Eaglet Club by 5 wickets in the inaugural match of Dinesh Misha memorial cricket tournament organized by the Kanpur Cricketers at the Palika ground on Tuesday.
Eaglet, putting into bat, scored 178 for 2 in 20 overs with the help of opener Samast M’s unbeaten knock of 82 runs consisting of 9 boundaries and 3 sixes. PAC in reply scored the required 180 runs for the loss of 5 wickets to win the match. Sandeep hit 72 runs for his side.
Earlier, mayor Pramila Pandey inaugurated the tournament. She was introduced to the two teams. In the second match, Tarun Club drubbed National Club by 9 wickets in a low scoring match.
