Kaun Banega Crorepati is back with yet another season. Sony Entertainment Television announced its 16th season in April and the show premiered on the channel on August 12. KBC is once again being hosted by Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. In one of the latest episodes of the show, an 18-year-old won Rs 12.5 lakh and quit the show after he could not answer one question. Can you guess the answer?
18-year-old Vishnu Mangoli is one of the youngest contestants of the season. He is a resident of Chennai who came to the show chasing his dreams and wishes to contribute to India’s space missions. He recently appeared on the hot seat of Kaun Banega Crorepati and took home Rs 12.5 lakh. The contestant’s journey moved the audience, while the host was impressed with his intelligence. The teenager was playing quite well until he realised that he did not know the answer to one question and also used up a lifeline, but he still had no clue about the answer. This prompted him to quit the show.
The contestant was playing very well unless he was asked, “Which of these Formula 1 World Champion’s father was a Formula driver?” He used the lifeline to figure out the answer and guessed that the answer was Fernando Alonso. But he was not sure of the answer and decided to quit the show.
Well, Fernando Alonso would have been the wrong answer. The correct answer is Max Verstappen. Max Verstappen is a Belgian-Dutch racing driver who competes in Formula One under the Dutch flag for Red Bull Racing. He has also won three Formula One World Drivers’ Championship titles. He is the son of Jos Verstappen, formula Formula One driver.
KBC is aired on Sony TV from Monday to Friday from 9 pm. The show has added a few new elements and features like Super Sawal and Dugaanastra to make the show entertaining.
