New Delhi: Priya Patil, the designer and stylist behind Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 13’ look, is on cloud nine. He was most pleasantly surprised when he was approached by the President of Nauru, Lionel Rouwen Angimia, as he was most impressed by Big B’s bow ties. Located in the Pacific Ocean to the northeast of Australia, Nauru is the third smallest country in the world after the Vatican and Monaco.
Sharing his surprise and delight at the interest shown by the President of Nauru, Patil said: “In the Republic of Nauru, the number of Bollywood fans will be found. They consume a lot of Bollywood content. The President is fascinated by Mr. Bachchan’s wardrobe. It was the way he carries himself and his style. He was so interested in bow-ties that he wanted them too.”
Continuing his story, Patil said: “A member of the Government of Nauru approached me and asked me if I could design a collection of bows and other items for the President. Honestly, it was an honor for me. It’s a matter of fact, and because Mr. Bachchan is loved by many and he is the ultimate fashion icon. It’s a huge compliment to me.” She said she would later design the president’s wardrobe.
Patil told how she will prepare the bow and arrow for the President. She said she’s got a mood board with various aesthetic elements associated with the island-nation, for example, its national bird, the colors of its national flag and its official crest, as well as the colors and themes the president likes. Based on these information, Patil said that she would prepare her archive for the President of Nauru.
