Kawasaki W175 Set To Launch Upgraded Version With Advanced Safety Features

Kawasaki’s W175 : The famed Kawasaki W175 is set to receive a fresh update, promising enhanced safety features in its latest iteration. The new version of this mid-segment bike is anticipated to debut on December 8, according to Auto Car India. Reports suggest that the bike will be equipped with disc brakes on both tires and come fitted with tubeless tires, amplifying its safety credentials.

Price and Variants

The current Kawasaki W175 is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.47 lakh. While the existing model offers two color choices, expectations are high for additional color variants in the updated version. The top model currently stands at Rs 1.49 lakh, with no official word yet on the pricing of the new model or its additional feature.

Unaltered Powertrain

Despite the updates, there’s no indication of alterations to the bike’s powertrain. The bike houses a 177cc BS6 engine, and as per available information, no changes have been made in this regard.

Bike Specifications

As a cruiser bike, the Kawasaki W175 boasts a round, stylish headlight. It delivers a robust power output of 12.8 bhp and generates a peak torque of 13.2 Nm. Currently, it has a front disc brake and a rear drum brake configuration, but the updated version is expected to offer disc brakes on both tires. Weighing 135 kg, the bike is known for its easy handling on the road. Advanced safety features such as an anti-lock braking system are expected to be retained or even upgraded in the new model.

Competing with the likes of Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin, the Kawasaki W175 is equipped with a 12-liter fuel tank, ideal for long-distance rides. Its 5-speed gearbox and single-cylinder air-cooled engine remain unchanged in the new version, showcasing familiarity and reliability in its performance.
