Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal wedding: The groom will step out in a custom made kurta by Sabyasachi Art Foundation

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, who is currently in Jaipur for the wedding festivities, gave a glimpse of their ‘happy’ faces to the paparazzi before boarding their flight to Rajasthan at the Mumbai airport on Monday evening. Katrina Kaif Radiant like the sun in a yellow embroidered sharara by fashion designer Anamika Khanna, complemented by her boyfriend Vicky Kaushal, who stepped out wearing Sabyasachi head-to-toe.

Talking about the Vicky look, her celebrity stylist Amandeep Kaur says, “Vicky Kaushal wore a Bangalore silk kurta with Jodhpuri paisley butty print, which is created by Sabyasachi Art Foundation. The kurta is paired with Italian wool trousers by Sabyasachi. And the look is accessorized with a Bengal tiger trophy belt and custom made juttis in mustard tan by Sabyasachi Accessories. Sabyasachi Art Foundation was started by Sabyasachi and his sister as a tribute to their artist mother. Today it is an integral part of the brand in both a creative and socially responsible capacity. It seeks to give proper identity and means of livelihood to indigenous artists and craftsmen.

As far as Katrina Kaif is concerned, she looked stunning in a sunshine yellow sharara teamed with a heavily embroidered dupatta and the same color kurta. While her accessories were minimal, the wedding glow on her face resonated with her dazzling smile. A day before leaving for Jaipur, Katrina wore a beautiful ivory sari designed by Arpita Mehta. The ruffle saree was complemented by an embellished blouse with cowrie shells which is the designer’s signature style. Styled by Anita Adajania Shroff, Katrina completed the desi look with a pair of Chandbali earrings.

As mentioned, the wedding will take place at Six Senses Fort Barwara, starting with the sangeet ceremony on December 7 (today), the Haldi ceremony on December 8 and the wedding ceremony on December 9. Magnificently set amidst the Six Senses of Rajasthan’s rugged jungle, Fort Barwara has emerged from a sensitive restoration effort comprising two palaces and two temples, which was once home to Rajasthani royals.
