Kashmera Shah’s intimate scene with a minor in Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Naya Varan Bhat Loncha…’ was removed

Mahesh Manjrekar’s latest Marathi film ‘Naya Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Koncha’ has landed in trouble due to sexually explicit content involving minors. The film’s trailer has received an overwhelming response from the National Commission for Women (NCW) for featuring intimate scenes involving minors.

It is now reported that the scenes in question, one of which featured actress Kashmera Shah, have been omitted from the film just ahead of its release. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “On Thursday, the makers removed some of the visuals from the film. The trailer shows Kashmera Shah pulling child artist Prem Dharmadhikari towards her. This and the scene where Prem Dharmadhikari had cast a character were omitted from the final cut of the film. One or two more shots were also missed.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) last week cleared the film with an ‘A’ certificate. The issue was raised after NCW President Rekha Sharma received a complaint from Maharashtra Indian Mr. Shakti, criticizing the “open dissemination of sexually explicit material involving minors on social media platforms”.
