Kartik Aaryan made his Bollywood debut in 2001 with Pyaar Ka Punchnama

Bollywood Actor Kartik Aaryan is joining the film industry as one of the highest paid actors. The 30-year-old actor has reportedly charged Rs 21 crore for Ala Vaikunthapuramulu remake, Shahzada. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the actor has charged a hefty amount for his next film, which will also feature Kriti Sanon in the lead role.
Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying that the actor is steadily making his way among the top stars of the industry and his remuneration only indicates his growing popularity. The report mentions that the actor has charged Rs 21 crore for the upcoming action comedy, which is his “highest for any theatrical film till date”. Ala Vaikunthapuramulu is a 2018 Telugu film starring Pooja Hegde and Allu Arjun in lead roles. The Hindi remake of the film will be directed by actor Varun Dhawan’s brother Rohit Dhawan.
The source who spoke to Bollywood Hungama also mentioned that Kartik is flexible in terms of adjusting his fees based on the style and appeal of the film in the market. The actor has charged Rs 15 crore for his yet another upcoming romantic comedy with producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The film will be directed by Sameer Vidwan and will also feature Kiara Advani.

Bollywood Hungama reported that since Vidwan’s film needed to be made on a fixed budget, Kartik forced the producers and cut their fees. Whereas, Shahzada is touted as a big budget commercial entertainer which is expected to make a remarkable box office collection like its Telugu counterpart. Hence, the actors went ahead with premium fees. The report also mentioned that the makers were comfortable accepting his request considering Kartik’s popularity.
Kartik will soon be seen in Netflix India’s upcoming thriller Dhamaka. The film will be available for streaming from November 19.
