Actor Karthi’s much-awaited project Kaithi 2, helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, will go on floors soon. Karthi 2 is the sequel to Kaithi, which is currently streaming on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. The film was released in 2019 and was well received by the audience and critics. Kaithi was one of the biggest Tamil blockbusters of the year.
Produced by RS Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures, the film hit the theaters around Diwali and is considered one of the best films of Karthi’s career. The story of the sequel is expected to be based on Karthi’s character Dilli and Harish Uthman’s character Adikalam. The action thriller depicts the feud between Delhi and Adikalam. There was no female lead or song in the first part of the film.
Apart from Karthi, Kaithi also stars Narayan, Arjun Das, George Marian and Harish Peradi in pivotal roles. All the actors stood out for their impressive performances in the film.
Meanwhile, Kathy had recently come into the limelight with the news of its release in Japanese. It was also announced that the Hindi remake of the film will be made and Ajay Devgn will play the lead role. However, an official announcement has not been made on this yet.
The music of the film Kaithi is composed by Sam CS and the action choreography is handled by Unbrev. The cinematography and music were well received by the audience.
The makers of the film had earlier announced plans to make a sequel, but then the film’s director Lokesh went ahead with making Master starrer Vijay Sethupathi. These days Lokesh is busy shooting for Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram. Vikram is expected to release around March-April in 2022.
Now, after the release of Vikram, Lokesh is expected to start shooting for Kaithi 2.
