Karnataka to strongly defend border dispute with Maharashtra, says CM Basavaraj Bommai | Hubballi News – Times of India

HUBBALLI: Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday made it clear that the government has seriously considered the border dispute between Karnataka and Maharashtra and will strongly defend the stand of the state effectively in the Supreme Court on November 23.
Speaking with reporters at the Airport in Hubballi, Bommai said that the government is making all preparations to make it effective in the court. He also said that he had discussed the border dispute case with the Advocate General.
“Besides, a deep study has been done in this regard. A team of senior and experienced advocates will be appointed soon”, he added.
He stated that a team of many senior lawyers, including senior advocate Diwan, is concentrating on the issue and preparing.
