A man in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district on Friday filed a police complaint alleging that his wife, who works in Dubai, has terror links and wants to take her daughter with him.

In his complaint to Superintendent of Police Sonawane Rishikesh, Chidanand KR also alleged that his wife, Raji Raghavan, is threatening him of dire consequences if he does not agree to his demands. “She claims to know some organizations and she will punish me and my family,” he alleged.

He also claimed that a man from Lakshadweep is continuously calling and forcing him to send his wife and daughter to Dubai. “This person is asking me to come to Kerala and he will pay a lot of money to send my wife and daughter to Dubai for a year,” said Chidananda.

He said his wife has been working in Dubai for 11 years, and comes back home once a year and stays for a month.

“I asked her to stay in India as the kids were growing up, but she refused and moved to Dubai. After that, she stopped calling me and receiving my calls. Meanwhile, I got my sister-in-law’s call. came and informed me that my wife works as a helper in a school vehicle owned by a Pakistani national in Dubai,” he said in the complaint.

Raji Raghavan insisted that she would take the daughter with her and told her that she had come to India for this purpose. When Chidananda opposed this and asked her to stay in India, he told her that she would only take the daughter with her for 6 months and bring her back.

“My parents objected to the proposal. Raji Raghavan again demanded a divorce and insisted that after the divorce, I should take care of the children. My daughter also objected to it and she told me that her mother harassed her for taking my side,” he said.

Chidananda complained, “After that, she was always found busy with her phone. Whenever the call came, she would leave to speak. She was a Hindu for applying flowers to her hair and vermilion on her forehead during the Onam festival. started objecting to the traditions,” complained Chidananda. .

Whenever Chidananda asked what happened to his savings, Raji Raghavan gave the contact number of Mohammad Khasim, who lives in Lakshadweep, and told him that he had lent him all the money.

He said that when he spoke to Khasim, he asked Chidananda to send Raghavan as his wife and if he wanted a mother for his children, he needed to wait. “Khasim has even threatened that if I didn’t send him, he knew how to take him away,” he said in his complaint.

“My wife, who had gone to sleep with her daughter on July 26, left without informing a stranger in the morning,” he said in the complaint.

Chidanand said that he had lodged a complaint with the Dharmasthala police station and was told that he was undergoing treatment at an Ayurveda hospital.

“I have been asked to wait for 10 days. Meanwhile, I am getting calls from Kerala to send my wife and children. There should be no harm to my wife and children. It is to be ascertained whether she Where exactly is she working in Dubai and who is the person from Lakshadweep,” he said.

Chidanand told IANS that he suspects his wife of having a possible terror connection, and that the matter should be probed as her behavior is suspicious.
