Karnataka: How SDM College Becomes Covid Cluster As 182 Fully Vaccinated Medicos Test Positive


New Delhi: SDM College of Medical Sciences in Karnataka’s Dharwad has become a Covid-19 cluster as the number of Covid cases jumped to 182 on Friday from 66 the previous day. The cases of Kovid came to light after students and staff celebrated freshers’ party. University.

The management feared that the freshers’ party held inside the campus on November 17 was the reason for the outbreak of Kovid.

The officials further said that the students who tested positive have been kept in quarantine inside the campus. The college has two hostels and both have been sealed by the corporation as a precautionary measure.

However, students who have tested positive for Covid have been confirmed as having no symptoms or with mild symptoms and are undergoing treatment, according to officials.
