The Karnataka government has decided to open schools and colleges in a phased manner amid growing protests over the hijab issue.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court had said that colleges in the state can reopen but students cannot insist on wearing religious clothing till the hijab is issue is resolved.
