Bangalore: Former Prime Minister HD deve Gowda have tested positive for COVID-19Sources close to him told.
“He has tested positive for Covid-19 but is asymptomatic. However, he has been admitted Manipal Hospital,” sources told PTI.
Sources said the JD(S) supremo decided to be hospitalized as a precautionary measure.
A hospital bulletin said Gowda was admitted on Friday and has been medically stable since then.
The bulletin said, “His vital parameters are within normal limits and he is responding to treatment. He is comfortable and participating in his activities from his room. He is being continuously monitored by our experts.” ”
Sources further said that Gowda’s wife chennamma Is negative for coronavirus and is at home.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai We wish Gowda a speedy recovery. Bommai tweeted, “I wish former PM HD Deve Gowda a speedy recovery from the corona virus infection and continue with your work as usual.”
Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar also prayed to God for Gowda’s speedy recovery. He further said that he is in touch with the doctors treating the former prime minister and getting updates about his health.
