Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday said the Karnataka BJP state executive meeting here on September 19 to further strengthen the party from the grassroots level, strategy for the upcoming elections and action plan on several current issues will take important decisions. “Tomorrow, we have a meeting of the state executive in which we will discuss several issues including making a strategy to strengthen the party and face the upcoming elections (Taluka, Zilla Panchayat, Vidhan Parishad and Vidhan Sabha by-elections) in the coming days. ,” Bommai said.
Talking to reporters here, he said that the executive meeting of Davangere is important as there are plans to further strengthen the party from booth to state level and take important decisions in this regard. “Many current issues will also be discussed in the meeting to prepare an action plan,” he said.
This will be Bommai’s first meeting of the state executive after taking over as the chief minister. Several other senior party leaders including national general secretary and state in-charge Arun Singh, state party president Nalin Kumar Kateel and former chief minister BS Yediyurappa will also attend the meeting on Sunday and the core committee meeting tonight.
Yediyurappa, who has planned a state-wide tour with an aim to strengthen the party and bring it back to power for the 2023 Assembly polls, said he has already traveled to Mysore and adjoining areas and the ongoing Assembly session.
