Karnataka Bajrang Dal activist’s murder: Party members protest outside Noida DM’s office | Noida News – Times of India

NOIDA: Scores of Bajrang Dal members along with other Hindu fringe groups protested outside the district magistrate (DM) office in Sector 27, Noida after the death of Karnataka Bajrang Dal activist Harsh.
The 23-year-old Harsha, a Bajrang Dal activist, was stabbed to death in Karnataka’s Shivamogga on February 20.
Speaking to TOI, Uma Nandan Kaushik, zonal head, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Noida said that they had called the members of the right wing groups to gathered at their office in Sector 12, Noida and had planned to march towards the DM office.
“We had planned to march towards the district magistrates office to hand him a memorandum of demands for the deceased Karnataka Bajrang Dal activist Harsha, which we want to be handed over home minister Amit Shah through the DM,” he said.
The groups began the protest at around 10.30 am and reached the DM office by 12pm, where they first burnt an effigy and then sat down to protest.
“Our demands include, financial assistance of Rs 1 crore for the family and government job to a family member. The ‘jihadis’ should be given capital punishmeqnt while in this hijab case, the conspiracy of PFI and other anti-national organizations should be investigated by NIA. Meanwhile, we also want that wearing of hijab should be banned in any educational institutions,” said Kaushik.
