Alia Bhatt’s mesmerising appearance at the Met Gala 2024 has the Internet completely in a chokehold. The actress made India proud again as she represented its culture at the event in a timeless Sabyasachi couture saree with a matching train. It seems like Alia can’t get enough of her look from the fashion extravaganza, and we are not even complaining. Her recent string of pictures and videos on her Instagram handle has fans drooling over her. Besides, Alia’s sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan also reviewed her look.

Adhering to the dress code ‘The Garden of Time’, Alia was dressed in a hand-embroidered saree with floral motifs and sparkling detailing for the biggest night of fashion. Her traditional saree came with a dramatic long embroidered train. Offering a closer look at her ensemble and her appearance at the event, Alia seemingly promised a comeback to the green and white carpet as she wrote, “till we meet again #MetGala2024.”

Upon the pictures being shared, the proud sister-in-law Kareena immediately reacted to the post. She wrote, “Alia The Bestest.” Well, the list of her admirers in her family is a long one. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress’ mother also showered her with compliments calling her “Ethereal and beautiful.” Another family member, Saba Ali Khan, sister of Saif Ali Khan, was also quick enough to pour some love for the actress in the form of heart emojis.

Alia Bhatt continues to shine wherever she goes. Reports suggest that the Bollywood diva has become the ‘most visible’ celebrity at the Met Gala. With this achievement, she has surpassed several prominent globally popular names including Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, and others.

Meanwhile, Alia’s saree was designed by renowned couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee. It took 1965 man-hours and around 163 artisans to bring this dreamy ensemble to life. Speaking to Ashley Graham during the event, Alia looked all excited to adorn the piece at the Met Gala 2024.

She shared, “I’m feeling great. I’m feeling very excited. Months of preparation, lots of conversations and all builds up to this one moment. It’s so surreal but it’s also very special. It’s my second time at the Met, but my first time wearing a saree. When I thought of the dress code, ‘Garden of Time’, I felt it needed something timeless and there’s nothing timeless than a saree.”
