While Kangana Ranaut was furious about hosting Lock Up, Karan Kundrra made headlines when he stepped in as the jailer.
When Karan Kundrra joined Kangana Ranaut’s lock up as the jailer last year, he completely impressed everyone. It’s been a year since Karan first appeared on our television screens as the jailer of Lock Up and so recently, his fans took to Twitter and shared posts celebrating Karan’s journey on Kangana’s show . On this occasion, both the microblogging site Lock Up and Karan Kundrra were trending.
Fans expressed their views by sharing pictures of Karan from the show. Several people made montage videos of the actor from different episodes of the show. Some claimed that the actor has done a fabulous job with his role and has truly set the bar high. Some even claimed that no other jailer could be as good as him. One user wrote, “As much as I love watching reality shows, Lock Up was clearly one reality show that was unfiltered and amazing to watch. Karan rocked the show even more! Crazy hype! Is there any jailer for him?” Not as good as it would be.

A fan page of Karan shared pictures of the actor and wrote, “Jailor completes 1 year of Karan’s beautiful journey that holds a special place in our hearts. How fast does time fly? It seems like yesterday when it all started. Let’s take a walk down memory lane and cherish 1 year of Jailer Karan.
A user posted, “Exactly 1 year ago on 3rd March 2022 we saw you live in lockup for the first time. You taught us that being badass doesn’t mean being dehumanizing and aggressive, but being kind and empathetic and guiding people with love and compassion.
Another posted, “Lock up with Karan. He set the standard so high for a jailer that no one could have done such a wonderful job like him.
“This show is always special for the Kundra squad. The way the situation was resolved is commendable. He always inspires them,” read one reply.
The first season of Lock Up was won by comedian Munawar Farooqui. With Season 2 premiering soon, Kangana is expected to return as the host and Karan as the jailer. However, according to reports, the makers are planning to introduce a new character in the show named ‘Prison Warden’. Reportedly, Hina Khan will be seen playing the role. While the makers are yet to make an official announcement about the season 2 contestants, rumors are rife that celebrities like Umar Riaz, Archana Gautam and Soundarya Sharma will participate in the show.
