Rani Mukerji’s face turned red after she fell at her feet at a special event of Karan Johar’s upcoming film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway.
In an event held in Mumbai on Friday afternoon, actress Rani Mukherjee was seen falling at the feet of Karan Johar and this video is now going viral. The actress made this gesture to tease Karan at a special event for the promotion of their upcoming film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. In a video from the event, the sari-clad Rani can be seen paying her respects on stage. After this she went to Karan.
Once she reached the filmmaker, Rani appeared in a teasing mood and offered to fall at his feet. An embarrassed Karan took a few steps back but could not stop Rani from touching her feet. Karan finally relented and Rani could not help but giggle.
After the gesture, Karan spoke about his relationship with Rani. She described the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai star as someone who turned sister-in-law to Karan’s ‘sister-in-law’ after she married close friend Aditya Chopra. In return Rani teases that she will no longer be his mother, the room explodes. Karan joins in laughing.
Karan was all praises for his performance in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway Rani. Based on the true story of Sagarika Chatterjee, whose children were taken away from her by the Norwegian Child Welfare Services, Karan said Rani has delivered a performance like never before in the film.
He said, “I couldn’t hold back tears while watching the film because the film connects with you, whether you are a parent or not. This film has touched me like no other film has in recent times. It’s Rani Mukerji as Mrs. Chatterjee. You haven’t seen a performance like this at Cannes.”
Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, directed by Nikkhil Advani of Kal Ho Naa Ho fame, is set to release on March 17.
