Karan Johar reshared Jibraan’s poster from the film and accompanied it with a note filled with love and adoration.
The highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 released Ishq Vishk is heading for its release on June 21 this year. Titled Ishq Vishk Rebound, it is expected to explore love and its complexities through the lens of Gen Z. The rom-com features Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Naila Grrewal, and Hrithik Roshan’s cousin, Pashmina Roshan in the lead roles. The new film is expected to delve into what love is for Gen Z. Ahead of its release, Jibraan got a shout-out from the filmmaker Karan Johar. For those unversed, the actor made his debut in 2001 with Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Recently, the makers of Ishq Vishk Rebound unveiled the solo posters of the film’s cast. As Jibraan’s poster was rolled out, Karan Johar re-shared it on his Instagram handle and accompanied it with a note filled with love and adoration. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director showered Jibraan with his blessings as he wrote, “Congratulations Jibraan Khan, from K3G to Ishq Vishk, All my blessings.”
In the poster, the debutant actor is posing with a dumbbell. He sported a grey vest paired with brown trousers and black shoes. For those uninitiated, Jibraan played Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s son, Krish Raichand, in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Hrithik Roshan also joined the director to extend his heartfelt wishes to the star cast of Ishq Vishk Rebound. Interestingly, Hrithik’s cousin sister Pashmina is making her Bollywood debut through the upcoming film. Rooting for her, the Fighter actor shared the character poster featuring Pashmina on his social media handle.
He penned an emotional note for the actress which read, “So proud of you Pashmina Roshan! You made it to this moment all on your own! Can’t wait to watch you shine! Your spirit is going to take you far! Ishq Vishk Rebound is going to ROCK !! All the best to the entire team !! Mark the date! 21st June 2024.”
Notably, Ishq Vishk Rebound is produced by Ramesh Taurani under the banner of Tips Films and Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari came on board to direct the rom com drama.
