Karan Deol And Drisha Acharya’s Big Fat Punjabi Wedding On June 16 Or June 18? Here’s What We Know

New Delhi: Karan Deol, grandson of Bollywood veteran Dharmendra, is all set to tie the knot with girlfriend Drishti Acharya this month and the wedding festivities began with a roka ceremony on Monday night in Mumbai. It was an intimate family affair and saw the Deol family under one roof. Sunny Deol came out to greet papa and did a photo op session with brother Bobby Deol and cousin Abhay Deol.

When is Karan Deol’s wedding – Date Confusion

Well, according to ANI, it looks like the Punjabi wedding is on June 18, but earlier some media reports showed June 16 as the D-day for the main event. The wedding ceremony of Karan Deol and Drishti Acharya will reportedly take place at Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai. The bride and groom managed to hide the details of their marriage till the last moment. From their roka ceremony, several pictures and videos later went viral on the internet. In one of the viral videos, Karan and Drisha were seen cutting a four-tier white cake.


Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma Thakeria was also seen at the wedding.


WHO IS DRISHA ACHARYA?

According to IANS, Drisha, who lives in Dubai where she works in a travel agency, has been seeing each other for quite some time. They got engaged a few months back in a private ceremony and are going to tie the knot this month itself. Drishti is the great-granddaughter of acclaimed filmmaker Bimal Roy. She lives in Dubai, where she works as a manager in a travel agency.

Karan, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ directed by his father, recently got engaged on the wedding anniversary of his grandparents Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur in a quiet ceremony by both the families. Earlier this year on Valentine’s Day, Karan was photographed in Dubai with a mystery woman, who was none other than Drisha Roy.

On the work front, Karan will soon be seen in ‘Apne 2’, which also stars his grandfather Dharmendra and uncle Bobby Deol.
