Kapurthala Gurdwara manager Amarjeet Singh was arrested on Friday for allegedly leading a mob that killed a man in an attempted sacrilege. The Gurudwara manager had alleged that he had seen the man trying to disrespect the “Nishan Sahib” or the religious flag.
The murder took place on Sunday, a day after a similar incident at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, where another man was lynched for allegedly trying to desecrate.
The postmortem report revealed that the unidentified man had deep wounds on his neck, head, chest and right hip of the body and he may have become breathless after a deep cut on his neck.
