Kapil Sharma, who is shooting for Nandita Das’s film in Bhubaneswar, met Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik along with the filmmaker.

Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday. He was accompanied by filmmaker Nandita Das. The comedian-actor was in Bhubaneswar to shoot for Nandita’s next film.

Kapil Sharma shared a few pictures from the meeting on his official social media handle. In one picture, he is seen laughing, while in the other, Kapil and Nandita Das are seen busy in conversation with the Chief Minister. Looks like the CM gifted both the celebs a special memento that will remind them of Odisha. Responding to the post, choreographer Mukti Mohan wrote, “Dher saari badhaaiyaan aur pyaar (Congratulations and lots of love)! Proud of you Kapu mate the sky is the limit.”

Kapil Sharma will play a food delivery boy in Nandita Das’s film. The film was announced in February this year, and went on floors in the first week of March. During the announcement of the project, Nandita Das had shared why she chose Kapil as the actor in her film and said, “The film attempts to show what is hidden in plain sight. And for this the cast and crew have come together. Kapil Sharma pop up on my screen one day! I hadn’t seen his show, but I could totally see him representing the ‘aam aadmi’ even though he wasn’t one anymore! I am sure he will surprise everyone including himself with his natural candor.

The film also stars Sahana Goswami and Sayani Gupta. It will also mark Kapil’s return to the big screen after the 2017 film Firangi.
