Actor Vicky Kaushal and director Shoojit Sircar will be seen promoting their upcoming film Sardar Udham. Kapil Sharma Show on Sunday 10 October. The film is based on the life of Sardar Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer in 1940 in Westminster, London.
A new promo of the upcoming episode was shared on social media by the makers of TKSS on Friday. In the promo, Kiku Sharda’s character jokingly says that Shah Rukh Khan is angry with Vicky Kaushal. When Vicky asks him the reason, Kiku replies, “He is saying to everyone, ‘Why hasn’t Vicky Kaushal seen my Josh film yet? (He was telling everyone, ‘Why hasn’t Vicky Kaushal seen my film Josh yet?)'”

Sardar Udham also stars Banita Sandhu, Amol Parashar, Sean Scott, Stephen Hogan, Kirsty Everton. The film will premiere worldwide on Prime Video on October 16. Sardar Udham traces the story of Udham Singh, who shot Michael O’Dwyer in London to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

In an interview with us, Kaushal said that the idea that came to the revolutionary’s mind was, “It is not a biopic of a man. It is a biopic of his ideologies and freedom struggle. So this is a very big and deep biopic. There are some archival photographs that we used as references in terms of looks and style, but beyond that, the film was mainly about his state of mind at the time.”
