The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has started putting up barricades on the Delhi-Meerut road to facilitate the movement of pilgrims during the Kanwar Yatra. Officials told on July 9 that every year the Kanwars reach Haridwar by this route.
He said that NCRTC will deploy its traffic personnel under the Route Diversion Plan prepared by the Ghaziabad Traffic Police.

According to an official release, NCRTC MD Vinay Kumar Singh monitored the progress of widening of Kanwar Marg and construction of Rapid Rail Depot and Administrative Building.
