The Tavrina Siri actress expressed her sadness that her restaurant, which she named Shashi, did not bring in the expected number of customers.

Ashita Maria Cresta was once the most sought after actress in the Kannada film industry. She is known for proving her acting prowess in films like Ba Baro Rasika and Tavrina Siri. Currently, Ashita leads a simple life away from the limelight. But she is active on social media, and keeps sharing her daily whereabouts with her ardent followers.

The 38-year-old started his business as a restaurant owner after quitting his acting career. In an exclusive interview with a YouTube channel, Ashita revealed that she was forced to shut down her business due to the Brahmin population living in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru.

Elaborating on her business venture, she revealed that she holds an MBA degree, and also added that she always wanted to be a businesswoman. Ashita recalled that she had opened an Italian restaurant in Malleshwaram. She believes that this was a serious mistake. Since all the people living in that particular area were Brahmins, they preferred non-vegetarian food. “Many of them haven’t even heard of some of the Italian dishes,” she said.

The Tavrina Siri actress expressed her sadness that her restaurant, which she named Shashi, did not bring in the expected number of customers. As a result, he was forced to shut it down. But her failure did not deter Ashita. She decided to give up the idea of ​​running a restaurant serving exotic food and instead, the former actress opened an Indian restaurant in Bangalore’s RT Nagar.

There, she met people who were suffering silently from depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions in “informal settings”.

“I am working with individuals in the city who just want to reach out and talk to someone. It is a voluntary effort, which I call Open-Up with Ashita. Meets individuals in informal settings – can be coffee shop or even park, and just chat. It gives me the most joy that I am able to reach out and help someone,” Ashita had shared.
