Kangana Ranaut The. appeared as a special guest on Kapil Sharma Show Saturday, September 11. The actress was there to promote her recent release Thalaivi based on the life of politician and actress J Jayalalithaa and had a fun evening with host Kapil Sharma and his team of comedians. Being embroiled in a series of controversies due to her social media posts, Kapil had to ask Kangana about the same and the actress tactfully avoided controversial answers this time.
The actress, who informed that she has seasonal flu, asked Kapil how many days have passed since her last controversial statement. He then played an old clip of the actress in which she was heard saying that people who spend all their time on social media are ‘vella’ (useless). After this, taking a dig at social media users, he had said, “I feel like there are all those people on social media who do not have any work to do. (I think only unemployed people use social media who have nothing else to do). You don’t get time to talk to people you know. What would you say to those you don’t even know.” He also added, “All these people are on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and have got themselves done in so many cases,” and pointed to Kapil.
When asked about his own social media presence, he said that the pandemic-induced lockdown has made him a vala too.
He explained, “If this is true, then it is true. When there was no corona, I was very busy. When corona happened, I was such a wellie. (When there was no coronavirus pandemic I was busy with my work but as soon as the pandemic got stuck, I became useless).” She also talked about her Twitter ban and said that she has been on the social media platform for 6 months as well. and said that he used to receive around 200 FIRs per day.
After this Kapil read some comments on his Instagram pictures. The actress shared a laugh with the host as they visited the comments section. One of the users mentioned Karan Johar in his comments and hinted at their animosity but Kangana laughed it off.
He also asked Kangana about the ideal type of boy for him. He was given a few options and had to choose his type. Between a guy who is quiet and one who is talkative, she chose the quiet type because she said that she is the one who likes to talk. Then she chose yoga instead of gym and chose a ‘skippy’ guy because she likes to spend.
Later in the episode, Krushna Abhishek, who appears as Sapna, mocks her by reminding her of the demolition of her Mumbai office last year. As a part of his comedy sketches, he was seen playing several characters in a courtroom, when Krishna told him that when something close to us perishes, we understand how it feels. Kangana laughed at this.
Kapil also took a jibe at her Y+ security and asked her what a person has to do to get that level of security, to which Kangana replied, “Speak the truth.” Comedians also made fun of Krishna and mentioned his fight. The actor along with his uncle Govinda is all set to make an appearance in Sunday’s episode, which Krishna will miss.
