Kangana Ranaut shared her ‘controversial’ opinion about marriage. The actress, in a recent podcast, said that everyone should have a companion but added that finding your own partner is the ‘biggest disaster’. She said instead of going about hunting for a partner, people should let it organically happen. Kangana also admitted that she sees herself getting married some day.
In the podcast with Raj Shamani, the host asked Kangana if she plans on getting married and having children some day. The actress confessed she does. Kangana was soon put in the spot when the host asked her, “Do you think everyone should marry?” Kangana smiled and replied, “Controversial.” She then explained that she believes everyone should have a companion for life.
“I think everyone should have a companion. It is difficult to be without a companion, not easy to be without a companion. It is important. It is difficult with a companion also, but it is more difficult to be without a companion,” Kangana said. But she insisted that people should not chase companionship. Instead, they should let it happen organically.
“You don’t have to find the right person. If you find out your own partner, it is the biggest disaster to you,” she said before adding, “It will come along.” When asked if her parents also ask her about her wedding plans, Kangana said, “They know what is happening, what’s not happening, they are updated about my life.” She added that they are worried about it like most Indian parents.
Kangana was then asked her take on youngsters who are choosing to go with the flow instead of setting timelines of getting married at a certain age and having kids at particular age. She said, “The older you get, it gets more difficult to adjust with each other. The younger you are, if you get married at a young age, it is much easier for you to adjust. In villages, they get you married at a young age. Besides, your passion is so high at that time, it is very good to get a direction. It is much easier when you are younger.”
Earlier this year, Kangana confirmed that she dating someone. However, she chose not to reveal the identity of her partner. Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana will be seen in Emergency. The film is set to release on September 6. Kangana not only stars in the film but is also directing the film.
