Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the news of Aamir KhanKiran Rao’s divorce. She took to Instagram story and talked about inter-fate marriage. She wrote, “At one time in Punjab most families raised one son as Hindu and the other as Sikh, this trend never seen with Amir with Hindus and Muslims or Sikhs or Muslims, or Muslims with anyone else Gone. Khan sahib’s second talaq I wonder why only children turn out to be Muslims in an inter-religious marriage. Why can’t a woman remain a Hindu? We have to change it with the changing times, this practice is archaic and regressive… If Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs, Radhasoamis and Atheists can live together in one family then why not Muslims? Why should one change their religion to marry a Muslim?”
Aamir and Kiran announced their divorce after 15 years of marriage in a statement released to the press on Saturday.
The statement read: “We would now like to start a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family to each other. We began a planned separation sometime back. and now feel comfortable formalizing this arrangement, sharing our lives as one extended family despite living apart. We are devoted parents to our son Azad, who is raised by- We will nurture together.
